We hope everyone had a fun, safe, and festive 4th of July weekend!
Pete’s campaign has really taken off since our last post. We could go on at length about the good fortune we have had on the campaign trail so far, but for the sake of brevity, we will try to stick to the highlights in this post.
Concord, Equality Health Center’s Pride 5k
Pete and his wife joined in on the fun, sporting hand-dyed and screen-printed campaign tee shirts. It was one of those deliriously happy NH summer days: the sun was out, the music was good and the community was vibrant.

Pembroke Democrats Kickoff Event
Pete and his team met with local democrats at Pembroke City Limits to talk about community needs, campaign platforms and NH voting regulations. Special thanks to Mariana Beer and Dianne Schuett for the invite.
Boscawen Canvassing with Lorrie Carey
Pete spent the morning going door to door and telling folks about his campaign platform.
Franklin, Winni River Days
Our team hung out with the Franklin NH Democrats and cheered on the amazing whitewater athletes. Kudos to Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander for getting in on the fun and braving the rapids.

Epsom Town Democrats Meeting
Pete was invited to speak at their monthly meeting, share his story and answer questions about his stance on local issues.
Concord, Market Days
This event marked the beginning of our first action-packed, back-to-back, triple-booked and sun-cooked campaign weekend. Pete and his team put in a combined 20+ hours of community networking between Thursday and Friday, meeting folks from all over the state, and talking to local organizations about potential partnerships. An extra special thank you to the Concord City Dems who coordinated the booth and spread the word about Pete’s campaign while we were off to other events on Saturday.

Andover Old Home Day at Potter Place
Pete and his team had a really great morning at the Andover Democrats’ booth. This event was particularly fun because Pete and his team had the chance to talk to local historians and learn about both the train station and the lives of Richard Potter and his wife, Sally Harris.
Bradford Old Home Day
This was the first parade of the campaign season. Billy the Kid (Pete’s pup) got to join in on the fun by riding in the back seat of Pete’s star-spangled Ford F-150 Lightning. Thank you to the Bradford Democrats for letting us know about this fun opportunity and for hosting Pete at their afterparty.

Concord’s America 250th / Concord 300th 4th of July Parade
Despite the heat, Pete and his campaign manager started the morning off with the Concord City Democrats setting up the float and walking in the 9 a.m. parade. Thank you to everyone who helped out, we will see you again soon for the Summer Picnic!
Andover’s 4th of July Parade
For Pete’s second parade of the day, he and his team joined forces with the Andover Democrats and Third Act. The event was packed and it was so special to see everyone together, celebrating the nation’s semi-quincentennial.

Canterbury’s 4th of July Celebration
After two parades and narrowly avoiding the sudden downpour, the team wrapped up the day in Pete’s hometown of Canterbury. Pete had the honor of contributing to the festivities by reading a portion of the Declaration of Independence. While the campaign work never really stops, it was a nice change of pace to be at an event where most people already know Pete. Thank you to everyone who asked us how the campaign is going so far, and, as always, thank you for your support.
Additional shout out to Executive Councilor Karen Liot Hill who, after a day spent celebrating and networking in Concord, Andover, Woodstock and Lincoln, still managed to be the first one dancing on the green in Canterbury. Thank you for sharing your energy with us and for all the work you do!
Thank you to everyone who has joined us on the campaign trail, offered feedback, put up yard signs, followed Pete’s social media accounts, signed up for campaign updates, and spread the word about Pete’s campaign.
“We’ve been able to accomplish a lot in a short period of time, but there’s still a lot to do. We’ve reconnected with old friends and have been making new friends along the way. We’ve spent time in familiar towns and cities all over the county and we look forward to visiting more towns soon.” - Pete
