It’s official– Pete and his team have started down the campaign trail!
This month he attended three local events with: the Pembroke Democrats, the Canterbury Democrats, and the Merrimack County Chiefs of Police Association.
At the event in Pembroke, Pete spoke with local voters and listened to their concerns. One concern, brought up at this event, was that of cybersecurity and internet scams which target vulnerable groups, including young people and seniors. He also had the pleasure of meeting Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander, and other New Hampshire democrats.
Pete’s next visit was with the Canterbury Democrats, where he formally introduced himself as the hometown candidate. For those who don’t know, Pete grew up in Canterbury- he attended Canterbury Elementary, got married in the church at the town center, and lived in town while serving as a Boscawen Police Officer and later as Sheriff’s Deputy for Merrimack County under Chet Jordan. While most folks in the room already knew Pete as a friendly face in town, he still sees his campaign as a job interview and any opportunity to meet voters he will make himself available.

Finally, Pete was invited by current Sheriff, David Croft, to introduce himself to the Merrimack County Chiefs of Police Association. While he was there, Pete also met the four candidates running for County Attorney. He found it valuable to learn more about the positions, policies, and goals of the four Candidates for County attorney.

“Thank you to the Canterbury Dems, thank you to the Pembroke Dems and thank you to the County Chiefs and my friend David Croft for inviting me to talk. Please stay tuned: we’re just getting started!” -Pete Shephard
Pete is looking forward to meeting with more folks soon and spreading the word about his campaign. If you are interested in getting in touch or want to support his campaign, please visit our Contact page.
